YOUR MATCHA RITUAL STARTS HERE.
Everything you need to start making matcha at home.
Our MATCHA STARTER KIT pairs our best-selling Everyday Matcha with the essential tools used to prepare it — making it an easy introduction to matcha, whether you're making a traditional bowl or your morning latte.
No complicated equipment. No guesswork. Just good matcha and the tools to make it properly.
THE SET INCLUDES
1 × 70g TAE Everyday Matcha
Our best-selling Japanese matcha, selected for its vibrant colour and full-bodied flavour. Slightly bolder in character, it's especially good in matcha lattes, while still versatile enough to enjoy traditionally.
1 × Bamboo Matcha Whisk — Chasen
The traditional tool used to whisk matcha, helping combine the powder and water into a smooth, frothy consistency.
1 × Bamboo Spoon — Chashaku
A traditional bamboo scoop for measuring your matcha.
1 × Ceramic Whisk Holder — Kusenaoshi
Helps your whisk maintain its shape and dry properly between uses.
YOUR EVERYDAY MATCHA
Scoop. Whisk. Sip.
Sift 2g of matcha into a bowl, add approximately 30ml of water at 80°C, and whisk briskly in a zigzag motion until smooth and frothy.
Enjoy as it is, or pour over approximately 200ml of your favourite milk for an everyday matcha latte.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR WHISK
Your bamboo whisk is handcrafted from natural bamboo and will last longer with a little care.
BEFORE EACH USE
Place your whisk in hot (not boiling) water for approximately 60 seconds. This softens and opens the tines — known as blooming — making them more flexible before whisking.
AFTER EACH USE
Rinse thoroughly with warm water and gently remove any remaining matcha with your fingers. Avoid soap or detergents, which can damage the natural bamboo.
Allow your whisk to air dry completely before storing. Place it on the included whisk holder to help maintain its shape between rituals.
START SIMPLE. MAKE IT A RITUAL.
FOR BETTER DAILY RITUALS.
